Stacey K. Smith, MFT-LP
After a successful 30-year career in the telecommunications industry, I retired in 2022 to pursue my passion for therapy. I am dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate challenges while equipping them with essential skills to enhance communication, strengthen connections, and cultivate a fulfilling life. I have had the privilege of working with diverse clients, ranging from young children (age 6) to older adults. My experience includes working with LGBTQ+ individuals and communities, as well as supporting clients dealing with depression, ADHD, PTSD, and anxiety. My approach is client-centered, rooted in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a nonjudgmental environment.
As a lifelong learner, I deeply enjoy traveling and immersing myself in different cultures, enriching my understanding of diverse perspectives. I cherish spending quality time with family and friends and have a particular love for cooking and entertaining.
I am committed to becoming a professor and an approved supervisor in marriage and family therapy, advocating for greater representation of gender and race in the field.
Above all, I am a proud mother of four remarkable young adults and have recently welcomed a new furry family member, Mocha. I look forward to combining my professional aspirations with my dedication to family and community, hoping to inspire others through my work, voice, and advocacy.
