Caroline De Oleveira, MFT Intern

I am committed to working with you and the presenting concerns you bring to therapy. I work from a systemic perspective, taking into consideration the meaningful relationships my clients have with themselves and with others. I understand that a one size fits all approach is not optimal and that all individuals and relationships are different in their own healing process. My goal is to give others the tools to find strategies in their journey to improving themselves, their relationships and their experiences for a better life.

In addition to being a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) trainee at Iona University’s nationally accredited graduate program, I bring past experience working with children in school settings as well as experience working with adults providing psychological services at an outpatient rehabilitation center. I have always had a passion for helping people and understanding their story on a deeper level, making a therapeutic connection with others to help them cope with life’s different transitions.

My intention as an MFT trainee is to bring my authentic self into the therapy room with my clients while remaining objective and engaged. I am dedicated to bringing my most compassionate, caring and empathetic self so that I can truly focus on my clients’ needs.
