Emily Colabufo, LCSW
Hi, I’m Emily! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience providing direct psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. In my practice, I focus on supporting clients who are experiencing challenges such as interpersonal conflict, peer relationship and social issues, anxiety, depression, school-related stress, communication difficulties, those in need of coping skills, challenges with emotional regulation, low self-esteem and life transitions. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based techniques, and a person-centered framework. I ensure to work collaboratively with clients to help you identify the changes you want to make and develop practical strategies to move toward your goals.
In a warm and supportive space, I allow clients to feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. I will be committed to building a strong therapeutic relationship and taking the time to truly get to know you to support you in creating meaningful and lasting change.
In addition to therapy, I am the Clinical Coordinator for the Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) Program at WellLife Network, Inc. in Coram, Long Island, in which I oversee a staff of over 20 in-home treatment providers. I can also assist you in getting additional support if extra care is needed!
