The objective is to create a safe, comforting, and trusting environment for each client to discover and learn coping skills that are beneficial for everyday pressure to deal with everyday problems. These skills can incorporate the mind, body, and spirit while promoting their overall well-being. Forming a respectful counselor-client relationship is important to address diverse, complex and cultural issues by providing support and guidance in a space where you can fully express yourself to find insight and personal growth.
I believe creating healthy boundaries and having a structured routine can increase long term productive development. Starting the day off on a good note is vital, taking a few minutes of your time each morning to do something you love, whether to read, pray, spend time with family or yourself allows you to stay motivated throughout the day. Everyday circumstances happen and knowing how to grow good positive thoughts can help you overcome daily struggles, past trauma and resentments. Understanding how to use your coping skills allows you to have a better reaction, giving a better response for a positive outcome.
